We live on an acreage that had 2 acres of land that we wanted to put into production. The question we asked ourselves was do we grow strawberries or rhodiola. We decided on rhodiola because the risks were much less. That was in 2010 and even though it’s been a huge learning curve we’ve never doubted our decision.

The most valuable lesson learned is the importance of connecting with other growers. Sharing the information we’ve gleaned from growing rhodiola with new and current growers. There are many steps involved in taking the rhodiola from seed to harvest and being able to learn from one another is a huge help in navigating the journey.

Experienced growers have a wealth of knowledge to share and being able to take advantage of that is a huge asset.
